Jennifer Grassie

HeartConnect Psychology recommends Jennifer for her compassionate approach to working with children, attachment concerns, family/parenting, and a large variety of issues like anxiety and depression.

I provide a non-judgmental, compassionate, and ever-curious space to explore and support you through varied challenges and transitions in your life. I practice from a collaborative framework, allowing the therapeutic process to move in a way where your needs and preferences are at the forefront throughout this journey.

My clients have described me as both warm and direct, compassionate, nonjudgmental, respectful, and attuned within the counselling space. I believe relationships are built on safety, trust, connection, and mutual respect. I bring my authentic self to the therapeutic relationship, encouraging vulnerability and self-exploration.

Currently, I hold a master’s degree specializing in clinical social work, and I am a registered member with the Alberta College of Social Workers. I have extensive training and years of experience working with adults, children, families, and couples, as well as extensive experience navigating systems within our community. I use an integrative and collaborative approach to therapy that utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and therapeutic approaches within my practice.

I tailor the therapy based on the uniqueness of each client and the specific needs and preferences they bring. My aim is to ensure clients feel validated, supported, and challenged during the therapeutic process. This can look like having the opportunity to explore and process freely without fear of judgment. This incorporates curiosity around past and present experiences that often leave us immobilized from our continued growth and change in the present moment. It can also look like building upon skills and strengths you already possess, while also building new skills to facilitate meaningful change.

I am fully aware that it can be a challenge to find a therapist who is the right fit for you; that is precisely why I invite you to reach out. I am open to answering your questions and discussing possible next steps with you.

I welcome you to contact me for a free 15-minute consultation to see if working together is a good fit. I look forward to starting this journey with you.
