FAQs

We charge $220/hour for registered psychologists and registered clinical social workers and $170/hour for clinical counsellors.

Note, 1-hour and 1.5-hour session formats typically mean 50 minutes and 80 minutes of counselling time, respectively.

They vary in their professional designation, the required training for that designation, and are regulated by different bodies of governance.

The designation difference affect the fees, insurance coverage, and program coverage.

  • For fees, we charge registered psychologists and clinical social workers (RSWs) at $220/hr, and clinical counsellors at $170/hr.
  • For insurance, psychologists are covered by almost all insurance policies. Clinical social workers and clinical counsellors are covered by most insurance. See our Insurance Questions Page for more info.
  • For program coverage, registered psychologists are often the most recognized.

When in the session, all our counsellors of various designations have master-level educational training and can offer solid support based on their expertise.

Choosing the right counsellor is an important part of starting counselling. Here are a few questions that may help you decide:

  • Does this counsellor have the expertise to address my concerns?
  • Do I feel this counsellor may be a good fit for me?
  • What are the session fees, and will my insurance coverage pay for the service?

Please visit our Insurance Questions page for insurance-related questions.

You can call us at 587-885-8131 if you have questions or need help connecting to the right counsellor.
